There is no doubt that Android handsets and Android Market is in fast growth. Eric Schmidt said Google’s
partners sold 60000 Android phone per day, the number of Android Market applications reached about 20000at the end of last year( about 16,000 or so). Today, Google responded to MobileCrunch that the number o applications(include paid and free) in Android Market has exceeded 3 million, in other world it’s increasedabout more than 10,000 pieces of applications in 3 months (nearly doubled). In fact, according to AndroLib(a third-party applications site) statistic that the total number of all applications are close to 35000.
Compared to Apple, who’s number has already more than 140,000 in January this year alone, a total of five times to the Android Market’s, Google still has a long way to go. Despite institutions predict that the number of Android Market applications will reach as many as 150,000 at the end of the year.

Google Maps for Android upgrated to 4.1，mainly has four renewals:

At this year’s Mobile World Congress, they released their first models Skate (above), sales manager Chuck Huang revealed that Skate will be available this year 5,6 months, and its performance close to the cell phone market price of about $ 500 -600, Skate will be more cheaper. Recently, Samsung has been putting together a new family of cellular-wireless Pocket PCs. So far this includes three models, all of which use the same basic form factor.

First off, the company has been showing off since last year the i730. This handheld, which hasn’t yet been released, uses a traditional tablet design, but it sports a small QWERTY keyboard that is exposed when the screen slides up. It will support CDMA/EV-DO networks and is expected to be offered by Verizon.

Earlier this week, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) gave Samsung permission to release in the United States the i830, a version of this handheld which will have support for both CDMA and GSM/GPRS. However, the i830 will lack two significant features of the i730: Wi-Fi and the built-in camera.
